Eddie Sarusi is an original SSL franchise owner. In 22 years, the Sliders have made 8 playoff appearances and won 1 World Series. Sarusi has constructed a very interesting team and it is hard to tell which Slider team will show up in the SSL 23 season.

ANALYSIS
The exile of Trevor Bauer, the decline of Chris Yelich, Alberto Mondesi's injury saga and Austin Meadows battle with mental anguish have all presented the front office with great challenges but Sarusi and company solider on.
You have to love the pitching rotation. The sudden rise of Cortes, the professional performances of Snell and Gray would make any pitching coach proud. The bullpen is simply outstanding. Need to shut down a rally ?? Let's see, shall we use Castillo (588), D. Robertson (590), Jo. Lopez (606), L. Hendricks (620) or Phelps (622). ? Must be nice to have trouble picking the best option. :)
The lineup has under performed and needs more depth. Catching is the main exception. Wm. Contreras (860), Fraley (812) and Maldonado (Ex TH) is a championship trio. Rizzo (817) is a pro's pro. The rest of the lineup is either below league average or has limited PAs available for use. Despite this mixed bag, the hope is guys like Outman, Peraza, Cali and Garrett can get alot of playing time in MLB 23. The great wildcard is Alberto Mondesi. The man oozes with talent but cannot shake the injury bug.
Bottom line ? The numbers say the Sliders finish last in the NL East but the numbers don't seem to capture the makeup of this team. No wonder this team is the league enigma.
