SIDEARM 23 REVIEW: #25 SAN ANTONIO BLACKBUCKS
SAN ANTONIO HAS THE PITCHING
FRONT OFFICE
Clay Morgan enters his 19th season as the GM of this franchise. 18 years has produced 9 playoff appearances and 1 trip to the World Series but SAB came up short in that series.
This team should have a short time in the bottom 20% of the league power rankings. The roster is filled with players like E. Cabrera, Patino, Moreno, Baty and Marcano who all have promising futures.

ANALYSIS
This starting rotation could take you all the way to the championship if you only had to look at starting pitching. Cole, Montgomery, Gausman and company would make any playoff team feel confident about their chances. Matzek, Wisler and Lugo are respectable bullpen pieces but the lack of bullpen depth is a concern when SAB will need to bridge the gap between the starters and the back of the bullpen.
The reason for the low power ranking is the lack of offensive firepower. Francisco Lindor (788) is the best hitter on this team but he under performed in MLB 22. Urias and Suzuki are the only other starters who hit above the league average in OPS. The future hope is Moreno, Baty and Siri fulfill their potential and Lindor bounces back from a subpar season. As for the present, look for SAB to finish 4th in the AL Central.
