23 SIDEARM REVIEW: #10 MENAGHA URHO: FRONT OFFICE GURU ??

MENAGHA URHO READY FOR WS RING ??

FRONT OFFICE

Jim Dull only has 2 years on his resume but the results are impressive.  After enduring a 51 win season in 21, the Urho improved to 96 wins in 22 and a playoff appearance, a track record anyone would envy.  What will he do for an encore ??

ANALYSIS

I have no idea how a team improves by 45 games in 1 season but Jim Dull did it...

You have to like the way this team is constructed.  The lineup is filled with All Stars like Kirk, Alonso, Anderson and Harper.  Zach Wheeler and Christian Javier are playoff caliber starters and Robbie Ray is still useful at eating innings.  Jansen and Kirk are the best catching duo in the league.   Add another quality bullpen and this team could go far if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

Pessimists will point out there are some holes in the lineup and the bench falls off a cliff once you get by Jansen.  More importantly, they play in a tough NL East.  The numbers say the Urho can finish anywhere between 1st and 3rd but when all the numbers are added up it looks like they will finish second in the NL East in an exciting dogfight.  Just remember Dull knows how to beat the odds.
