ANALYSIS
Tyler Anderson and Wainwright still have at least 1 more year in the gas tank but their replacements do not appear to be on the horizon. The bullpen is top shelf. Where in the hell did Feyereisen (226) and Overton (449) come from ?? Bass (569) and Yimi Garcia (560) are tested vets. Gilbreath, Graveman and R. Thompson seem quite capable of bridging the gap between starters and closers.
Wil Contreras should certainly help the Mountaineers in 23 alot more than the Cardinals. :) Freeman is an A+ , Tescar Hernandez is solidand Drury (813) is a pleasant surprise. JD Martinez, Segura and Peralta are in career declines but Yaz and Kiner-Falfea offer needed defense. D'Arnaud is the best option off the bench but he will have to split time with Contreras and JD either behind the plate or at DH.
The back end of the rotation is a problem so it will be interesting to see if the bullpen can coverup that weakness. There are some holes in the lineup but the real problem is the Mountaineers play in the very tough AL Central. The numbers say Manzano finishes 3rd in the AL Central.
