Most of us have taken over an orphan teams in a league and tried to revive it from the league emergency room. Justin Ludwig has done a heroic job in remaking a team on its deathbed. The best way of relieving yourself from the pain of losing is to fill the lineup with HOFers. Ludwig can enjoy playing Gibson, Santo, Williams and Hank Aaron every day.
The problem is too many holes in the roster. 4 starters are below 100 OPS+ and only Larry Brown and his 20 E rating are on the bench with a 100 OPS+ rating.
The good news is Ludwig is on the right track and there is still light at the end of the tunnel. In this case, the light is from daylight and not a train filled with losses. Nevertheless, the numbers indicate a last place finish in the East.
