NOTES
Sal Bando had a career year and should anchor the 3rd ranked hitting squad.
Pete Rose is an on base machine.
Steve Garvey is a solid contributor.
Crawford posted a surprising 140 OPS+.
Bill North will contend for the SB title.
Luzinski (126) is the power bat ... how much will he play ??
The 73 MLB pitching was just nasty which is the only explanation for the Beers #8 ranking in pitching. Beene, Fingers, Scarce and Knowles should give Beecraft a lights out bullpen while Kison, Split, Drago and Capra are solid starters. The two important pieces to the pitching staff will be lefties Roger Moret (127) and Ken Brett (110). Both can start or provide long relief.
Any team in the upper half of the preview rankings can go all the way. Beecraft has all the ingredients to go far in the playoffs. The numbers say the Beers will finish 3rd in the renovated East.
