NOTES

Could this be the Beers' motto ??

Take a look at these SB numbers for 74:

Campy 34
Davis  25
Lopes 59
North 54

The Beers could set a LIPL record for stolen bases in a season and we are just getting started...

Beecraft took the Beers from an Eastern division cellar dweller to a 73 LIPL championship in 2 years so league owners better take notice this team is poised for a repeat of the 73 championship season.

Milwaukee's roster is filled with MLB World Series players.  Bando, Campy, Crawford, Davis, Garvey, Lopes and North all know what it takes to win which provides Beecraft with all the ingredients he needs for a potent offense.

The pitching staff is deep and will  hold their own against any opponent.  While the rotation does not have aces it does have several #2 starters like Capra, John, Montefusco and Ken Brett.  The bullpen could use an upgrade but the starters should go deep enough to overcome that weakness.

The overall strategy of having above average players at every position instead of a Stars and Scrubs strategy could propel the Beers to another World championship.  The numbers say only 1 team can stop them but MSS and NBR will be right on their tail in the North.

PREDICTION:  1st in the NORTH
