NOTES
One of the great things about playing in this league is managing your favorite players. I am not sure who Brian watched growing up in New York but it does not surprise me Holtzman and Koosman lead the LIX rotation. It is sure to keep Calvi's interest. Pagan should provide some relief out of the pen but otherwise the support staff will not reach the same level as Koosman and Holtzman.
Joe Rudi is a great example of someone who not only is a great hitter but also provides solid defense at 1B and OF. No wonder he played in several World Series. Perez, Fairly and Singleton provide a solid hitting lineup.
The defense is top notch. Fanzone (4), Foote (4), Oates (5), B. Robinson (4) and Rudi (4) will turn a lot of hits into outs which increases the LIX's run prevention ability.
Calvi is the X factor in determining how far this team can go. If he can squeeze some improvement out of the pitching staff beyond Holtzman and Koosman LIX may make another trip to the playoffs.
